Daedalus is one of the South Coast's most ambitious regeneration and economic development projects. Located in Fareham, Hampshire, the site has evolved into a thriving business destination that supports innovation, investment and employment growth across the Solent region.

The long-term vision for Daedalus is to create a leading hub for aerospace, aviation, engineering, advanced manufacturing and technology businesses, while providing high-quality commercial space and supporting sustainable economic growth.

In 2015, Fareham Borough Council acquired 369 acres of land at Daedalus from the Homes and Communities Agency (now Homes England). The site forms part of the Solent Enterprise Zone , which was the catalyst for the development of a new £12m college, a multi-million-pound Stubbington Bypass scheme and the development of mixed use Waterfront regeneration area.

Following extensive engagement with various stakeholders and public consultation, in 2015 the Council adopted a Vision and Outline Strategy for Daedalus, setting out its future ambitions for the airfield site.
